SANCHEZ LIBRARY COMPUTER LAB POLICY
The Richard M. Sanchez Computer Lab is restricted to current students, faculty, and staff of Navarro College or persons who are currently enrolled in programs sponsored by the college.
Please note that the computer labs are frequently reserved by members of the Navarro College faculty and staff for testing, instruction, or other purposes and at these times are not available for general use. In some cases, the labs are reserved weeks in advance. In other cases, however, a lab may be reserved as late as one day in advance. The regular hours of operation for the computer labs are listed above, and special lab closing schedules can be found below. These schedules will be updated regularly, but please note that at any given time, the schedule may not include the most recent reservations. For the most up-to-date information, phone the Sanchez Library at (903) 875-7442. Each morning, a posting indicating any “closures” for the day (for the purposes of testing, etc.) will be placed outside the entrance to each lab.
The lab serves the academic mission of the library and has been designated a Quiet Area devoted to study and academic pursuits. Anyone creating a disturbance in the lab will be asked to leave and will be subject to disciplinary action by the college authorities. Please note that cell phone use is not permitted in the lab. Persons who wish to use the lab are required to silence their cell phones before entering the lab.
PRINTINGNavarro College has installed WEPA print stations on all campuses.

Please do not leave personal items unattended. The library staff is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please do not bring food or drinks into the lab.
No one will be admitted to the Sanchez lab during the final 15 minutes the lab is open.
We need to know in advance who is going to be using the lab as well as the dates and times the lab is going to be used. Instructors in several different programs have reserved the lab, so it is extremely important that we are able to maintain an accurate and up-to-date calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts. Instructors also need to receive confirmation of their reservation requests well in advance so they can be sure the lab will be available when they need it.
The sooner you can make your reservation requests, the better. We must receive your request no later than 4:00pm on the day prior to the evening for which you wish to reserve the lab.
The library staff’s role is simply to handle reservation requests. They maintain the reservation calendar. They will confirm requests if the lab is available. If the lab is not available, they will contact the instructor who submitted the request as soon as possible via e-mail.
An instructor must be in the lab at all times.
Food and drink are not permitted in the lab. Requests for the Sanchez Lab should be emailed to the Library Staff.
When submitting requests, the instructor must include his or her name, the relevant program (or course) and the specific date(s) and times during which he or she plans to use the lab. Requests must be submitted no later than 4:00pm on the day prior to the evening for which the instructor wishes to reserve the lab.
