Gallery of Distinction
The Gallery of Distinction is the most prestigious honor the College presents to recipients who exempify and support the history, traditions and legacy of Navarro College and our vision of providing innovative career pathways and student-centered learning opportunities that result in students capable of succeeding in local and global communities. Throughout the years, our honorees have shown Navarro College tremendous commitment both philosophyically and philanthropically.

Sue Cook, 2022On February 12, 2022, Ms. Sue Cook, a longtime philanthropic and volunteer leader of Navarro College, received the newly formed Navarro College Gallery of Distinction award for her exceptional generosity in the promotion and support of the College. |

Distinguished Alumni
Established in 1958, the Distinguished Alumni Awards is the highest honor that Navarro College bestows upon outstanding alum of Navarro College. The award acknowledges and recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and exemplarily achievements of NC alumni whose personal lives, professional achievements, and community service exemplify the objectives of their alma mater. Bulldog Hall of Fame
The Navarro College Bulldog Hall of Fame was established in 2019 to promote a program of recognition for great athletes, coaches, and supporters who have distinguished themselves and the College in the field of intercollegiate athletics, or who have contributed to the development of intercollegiate athletics at Navarro College. Navarro College Piper Professors
To bring recognition to outstanding achievement in the teaching profession in colleges and universities in the State of Texas, the Piper Professor Award Program was established by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation in 1958.
This distinguished honor is awarded to instructors who are committed to excellence in education. Award recipients are dedicated to the teaching profession and have made a special impact on students as well as the community. Navarro College proudly recognizes teachers selected as Piper Professors:

In 1961, Margaret Pannill, English instructor, became the first recipient of the Minnie Stevens Piper Professor award at Navarro. |

In 1986, McAfee Daniel, Chairman of the Division of Communications and an English instructor, becomes the fourth Minnie Stevens Piper Professor recipient at Navarro. Mr. Daniel was freshman in the first class at NJC in 1946 and joined the Navarro faculty in 1965. |

Navarro College President, Board of Trustees, and Senior Administrator Emeriti
The Emeritius title is an honor bestowed to the College Presidents, Board of Trustees, and Senior Administrators who have retired from the position and have provided distinguished service to the College. Distinguished service contemplates that the individual demonstrated exceptional commitment and contributions to the College, exemplifying the highest standards of personal and professional integrity, civic responsibility, vision, and leadership.
